At Afrikanos we do not stick you in a cage but let you safely FREE DIVE with these majestical creatures.

The in-water crocodile encounter lasts up to 60 minutes.
Guests should arrive in time for registration, the crocodile educational briefing and guided pond tour before preparing for the diving experience.
Secure lockers, warm showers and clean restroom facilities are available.
Children under 6 years of age are not permitted to participate.
An adult must accompany children between 6 and 12 years of age.

Afrikanos also has a restaurant, bar & grill as well as a small courier shop on site, making it easy to enjoy a meal or browse our range of souvenirs before or after experience.
GETTING THERE: Guests can make their own way to Afrikanos at 48 Van Bloemenstein Street, Danger Point, Gansbaai. This is a self drive experience.

Amazing Experience - Welcomed from the start, (we did have a drink in the restaurant while we waited for our time slot), everything was explained clearly, all safety aspects were clear, it was interesting to get some background and history on the crocodiles before we were in front of them. We were offered skins, but as it was a very hot day they were required, although some of our group just them for added sun protection. The entance into the water was slippery but we had been warned. Once in the water we were cm from the crocodiles but felt protected. I had my under water camera with me, and the photos are unreal. The guide gave us constant information thoughout and was open to questions. The railings in the water assisted you to go under, we were a group of five and there was plenty of room for us all. One of the Crocs didnt want to interact but you could clearly watch him on the bottom. Going above on the walkway afterwards gives you a better perspective of their size though that you dont get up close. Following the experience we were given towels and there were showers and changing areas before collecting our valuables from the FOC lockers. Not an extensive gift shop but love the t-shirt! - Karen
